Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon coconut extract
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch tube or Bundt pan.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

In a separate small bowl, mix the sour cream and baking soda together. Let it sit for a few minutes until it’s slightly bubbly.

Add the sour cream mixture to the creamed butter and sugar, and mix until well combined.

Gradually add the flour to the mixture, mixing well after each addition.

Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Stir in the vanilla extract, lemon extract, almond extract, coconut extract, and rum extract until the batter is smooth and well combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, carefully remove the cake from the pan and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the cake is completely cool, you can dust it with powdered sugar if desired.

Slice and serve the Five Flavor Pound Cake, and enjoy!
