Among all countries, this one has the highest alcohol consumption.

Africa is home to the world's most alcoholic nation, not Asia, Europe, or North America.

Zimbabwe is the name of such nation, according to the political and information tracking website WiseVoter.

In terms of total alcohol consumption, the country ranks first, despite its low alphabetical position.

It was hard for even some Zimbabweans to believe the rating, especially in light of the facts.

The country's drinking rate was about double that of any other country, putting it well ahead of the pack.

Finally, in third place, with slightly more than nine gallons, is another country in Southern Africa, Eswatini (formerly Swaziland).

Zimbabwe ranks first with an annual per capita alcohol consumption of almost 16 gallons, well above the 10 gallons consumed by Tunisia, the country in second place.
