I was motivated to compile an excellent recipe for chocolate chip oatmeal cookies.
Every one of my cookie test cases left me unsatisfied,
so I've been putting this recipe idea on pause since last fall.
They melted into gooey blobs in the oven, were overly dry,
or tasted bland. My efforts were futile, and I finally gave up.
A few weeks ago, though, my granddaughter sent me a text
that rekindled my desire to find out more.
