We asked cherry nutrition experts to explain the health benefits of sweet
and tart cherries and how to eat more of them this summer.
Jessica Isaacs, R.D., C.S.S.D., an NBA nutritionist and Cheribundi recovery advisory board member,
says cherries are rich in vitamin C, calcium, iron, magnesium, and potassium.
She says a serving of cherries is one cup of unpitted cherries,
a quarter cup of dried cherries, or eight ounces of tart cherry juice.
